Solape Hammond is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Investments.
Prior to this, she worked in the private sector for over 20 years in various capacities, gathering experience in Management Consulting, Risk Management, Banking and Financial Advisory.
Solape commenced her consulting career at Accenture, leaving as a Manager in the Finance and Performance Management Market Unit. She has also previously worked in Credit Administration and Risk Management at a Nigerian Merchant Bank and served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a financial advisory firm based in Lagos with clients across Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia and other parts of Africa.
She then established a business advisory firm - Ten Talents Limited - which provides business planning, recruitment, strategy development, process improvement, organizational transformation, risk management, performance management, programme management and financial advisory services.
She also co-founded Impact Hub Lagos and served as its inaugural CEO. Impact Hub Lagos is part of a rapidly expanding global network of over 16,000 members across 90+ open hubs in 50 countries worldwide.
Over the years, Solape has supported several national macro-economic transformation initiatives including the Central Bank of Nigeria Transformation Programme (CBN Project EAGLES 2003-2005) and the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) Capital Markets Transformation Plan (2013-2014) as well as on interventions for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) providing fundraising and advisory services, consulting support and research.
Solape is passionate about social change and has served on the Boards or Advisory Councils of various organisations in and outside the country.
She graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (1999) and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from INSEAD.
In August 2019, she was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Sustainable Development Goals and Investment. She has been making giants strides since then.

Professor Olufemi Bamiro had his secondary school education at Molusi College, Ijebu-lgbo, passing out with a Grade 1 in the West African School Certificate (WASC), Ordinary Level in 1965. He proceeded to Government College, Ibadan for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) and passed out in 1967 with a result adjudged to be the best in the country that year at the Cambridge Higher School Certificate (Advanced Level). As Shell Scholar, he attended Nottingham University, Nottingham, England for his first degree graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, First Class Honours. Between 1972 and 1975, Professor Bamiro attended McGill University, Montreal, Canada as a Commonwealth Scholar. He completed his Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in the record time of two years and five months after First Degree having gained special exception from Master’s Degree.
Professor Bamiro joined the services of the University of Ibadan in September 1975 as Lecturer I in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and rose rapidly to the First Professor of Mechanical Engineering in 1983 and later First Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering in 2021. He served the University of Ibadan in various capacities culminating in in the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the University from 2005 to 2010. The latter was recognised by the Visitation Panel to the University as a period of significant transformation of the physical and academic environment of the University.
Professor Bamiro is a recipient of many scholarships, Fellowships and Awards including the United Nations Human Settlement (UN-Habitat) in respect of the Organo-Mineral Fertiliser Plant Design and Construction Project, and Distinguished Shell Scholar Award (2013).
At the National level he served in different panels and committees: Secretary of the 24-man Panel that produced the Energy Policy for Nigeria in 1984; Member of the 6-man Committee that prepared the Blueprint for the implementation of the National Science and Technology Policy for Nigeria in 1987; UNESCO Consultant for the Reform of the National Science, Technology and Innovation System in Nigeria, 2005; Chairman of the Screening and Monitoring Committee of the National Research Fund (NRF) under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for a period of nine years (2012-2021) during which several thousands of Concept Notes/Full Proposals were processed leading to Research Grants of N13.5Billion being awarded in support of close to 460 Research Proposals. He is Project Implementation Support Specialist I to The World Bank under the Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project (2020 to Date); Chairman of the 5-man Technical Board of the Prototype Engineering Development Institute (PEDI), Ilesa under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) (2021 to Date); and The Lead Consultant, appointed by the Lagos State Government, for the transmutation to universities of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, and Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Epe.
He has served in different capacities in selected universities in Nigeria including Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Elizade University, Ilara Mokin (2019 to Date) and Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode (2014-2018). He has also served as member of governing councils of four other universities.
Professor Bamiro has close to 85 Publications in Learned Journals and refereed Proceedings on Solid Mechanics, Energy, Science and Technology Policy and Entrepreneurship. He is also author of several books in Introductory Technology, Solid Mechanics for Engineers, and Entrepreneurship. He is Consultant to several companies in both the private and public sectors of the Nation’s economy as well as International Agencies.

Omowale David-Ashiru is a Business Leader, Management Consultant, Business Process Re-engineering expert, and certified Project Manager with over twenty-two years of working experience.
Omowale is the Group Managing Director (Nigeria), NewGlobe Education. A multi-national social enterprise that supports visionary governments to transform public education systems, with a mission to ensure that millions of children have access to quality education.
Before now, she was the Vice President, Global Operations at Andela - a company that helps build distributed software engineering teams and was named the Best Technology firm to work in Nigeria (2019) and Best company to work in Nigeria (2018). Before that, she was Country Director (Nigeria and Ghana) of Andela.
Prior to Andela, Omowale was the Managing Director (now non-executive Director) of Strictly Babes Ltd. A retail maternity company she founded in 1999 - the first maternity-only company in Nigeria with retail stores in Lagos and Abuja. As part of the Youth enterprise drive of the Federal Government of Nigeria, her company was vetted and awarded a highly coveted entrepreneurial grant. Her company supported the local community by partnering with a Not-for-Profit organization, to employ secondary school graduates as part-time sales assistants with the aim of economically empowering them while assisting them to prepare for and gain entry into tertiary institutions.
Omowale kicked off her professional career at Accenture, one of the foremost global management consulting firms; where she led complex and challenging projects at numerous strategic clients including the largest bank in Nigeria and West Africa (at the time) as well as a key financial regulatory organisation in Nigeria. In her time at Accenture, she collaborated and worked with diverse and multicultural teams in various countries, including India, Singapore, Oman, and South Africa. Omowale also temporarily acted as Head of Human Resources (HR) for Accenture Nigeria, in addition to her Management Consulting responsibilities. She also regularly delivered training as a Subject Matter Expert on Business Process Re-engineering for Accenture staff, external clients and at Accenture’s global training centre in Chicago.
Omowale was featured last International Women’s Day as one of the Top 100 career women in Nigeria, Gage awards named her one of the Top 9 Tech Women in Nigeria in 2020 and in 2019 Guardian Woman Leading Ladies Africa spotlighted her as one of the 50 leading ladies in the Nigerian corporate and business sector.
She has been a speaker and panelist at various programs and platforms including the World Bank Spring Meetings, Saylors Academy Summit, the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit, Nigeria’s Annual Bankers’ Committee Retreat, Daystar Business Forum, BusinessDay Nigeria and Union Bank’s EDU360, amongst others, sharing insights on the future of work, the impact of technology and why Africa should be positioned at the forefront of the digital revolution. She has also led masterclasses for staff and management in companies across Africa, focusing on mindset shift and leadership skills.
Omowale obtained a First Class B.Sc. degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is an Associate of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a Member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) Nigeria, and on the Editorial Board of DailyTimes Newspaper. She has a deep passion for inspiring people, enjoys coaching and is a trained counselor. Omowale is married to Olugbenga David Ashiru. They've been married for 18 years and have two sons.

Gbenga Oyebode is the co-founder of Aluko & Oyebode (Barristers & Solicitors), one of the largest integrated law firms in Nigeria.
Gbenga was educated at the University of Ife (LL.B Honours), and the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (LL.M) graduating in 1979 and 1982, respectively. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (admitted June 1980) and an attorney-at-law of the Supreme Court of New York State (admitted November 1983). Olanrewaju Fagbohun is a Professor of Environmental Law with the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He was at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) for his LL.B (Hons) programme; Nigeria Law School; University of Lagos for LL.M programme; and back to Obafemi Awolowo University or His Ph.D programme. His teaching and research areas are business law, environmental policy and advocacy, international environmental law, and climate change. His practice encompassed both litigation and transactional work. As at January 2022, Professor Fagbohun has published Seventy-Two (72) articles in local and international peer reviewed journals and delivered over 164 commissioned lectures in different parts of the world. He has co-edited nine (9) books and authored two (2) books that have met with acclaim and enthusiastic praise from reviewers.
He recently served as the 8th substantive Vice Chancellor/CEO of the Lagos State University. Prior to that, he has served as consultant to governments, and bodies such as the European Commission, UNEP, UNDP and Global Environment Facility. He was a member of the International Bar Association 18-man Special Task Force on Climate Change Justice and Human Rights which produced the book: Achieving Justice and Human Rights in an Era of Climate Disruption (2014). He has served as expert on Nigerian Law in the United Kingdom and United States, and he is currently a member of the National University Ranking Advisory Committee. In 2019, he was conferred with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Modupe Adeyinka-Oni; is a renowned educator, speaker, author, and tech advocate who has been in the teaching profession for almost four decades. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Nottingham.
She taught in Corona School, Victoria Island Lagos for 13 years. Over 25 years ago, she founded Standard Bearers School, a foremost nursery and primary school located in the heart of Lekki P hase 1. The school’s s vision of raising a generation of godly, tech-savvy children has endeared her to parents who want their children prepared for future of work.
Modupe is very passionate about technology, and in 2019 she coached a team of young girls in the Global Technovation Competition which earned them a place in the finals which took place in Silicon Valley, USA.
With the success of the SBS online school, Modupe turned her attention to providing a solution for reducing the inequalities gap for children out of school living in underserved communities. This lied to the founding of the iAfrica Cloud School Foundation on May 27, 2021. The foundation is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Standard Bearers School which focuses on providing quality education to children in underserved communities across Nigeria. iAfrica Cloud School currently runs programs in the Makoko community of Lagos State, Kuching oro IDP camp Abuja and the CLAP AL Orphanage in Jos, Plateau State. Currently, iAfrica has 1502 children enrolled in her program.
Modupe is a member of different professional bodies such as the Association of Private Educators in Nigeria, Concern for Public Accountability and Development (COPAD), the Fin partnerships, Association of international School Educators of Nigeria, and many others. She is currently the Chairperson of a new school owners association for foundation and early years schools across Nigeria called Pre-School & Primary Educators initiative.
She anchored the education product pitch section of the 2021 Nigerian Diaspora investment Summit held in Abuja. She has also been a consistent speaker and anchor at the Tropics Business Summit Africa (TBSA) and was recently nominated as the TBSA Nigerian ambassador. Femi Taiwo serves as the Executive Director of LEAP Africa- one of Africa’s leading youth-focused and youth-led leadership development organisation. In this role, he oversees the organization’s administration, fundraising, strategy implementation and programme delivery in six African countries. Prior to this position at LEAP, Femi was the founding Executive Director of Eagles HOPE Foundation (aka H.O.P.E- Helping Other People Excel), a non-profit initiated by the Covenant University Alumni Association. There, he led the
organisation to create and execute award-winning youth programmes that reached over 12,000 youth in major cities in Nigeria over a five-year period. In these roles, Femi has facilitated several consulting and training interventions across Africa and in the United Kingdom. As part of his career journey, Femi also worked in GlaxoSmithKline implementing professional development programmes for young physicians and spent a year at a market research consultancy in the United Kingdom.
Femi advises several youth-focused social organisations across Africa and beyond. He also speaks internationally on themes relating to education and skills, social entrepreneurship, the SDGs, and transformative leadership. Femi is extremely passionate about leadership and enterprise development, youth development and youth-led development. He is on a personal mission of facilitating the transformation of individuals, organisations and nations. Femi is an alumnus of LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Program and has received various
awards for Youth leadership and Community Development.
He is a 2018 Aspen Institute IdeasFest Scholar and is part of the inaugural class of the Obama Africa Leaders Programme. He seats on the Board of United Nations Global Compact (Nigeria Local Network), the Covenant University Alumni Association among others. Rhoda Odigboh began her career as a classroom teacher in Lagos, Nigeria. Her love for teaching and the science of learning drew her to supporting teachers and parents in exploring new ways that lead to learning outcomes. These experiences drove her to starting one of the first education blogs in Nigeria; sharing methods that worked for her students, in partnership with their parents.
She began consulting for public and private schools, and volunteering in under-resourced schools. As part of her social enterprise journey, she became a 2016 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program, TEEP Fellow. She is committed to unlocking opportunities for the African child through Education. In 2018, Rhoda joined Bridge International Academies as Director of Academics, leading academic programming for sixty-three community schools across Lagos and Osun States. As part of this role, she supported a public-private partnership school project in Borno state - a school with children who suffered due to insurgency.
She became Regional Director of Academics, NewGlobe, overseeing academic programming for government partnership and community school programs. She functioned across Learning innovation, Leadership and Development, Instructional Design and other departments. Rhoda’s experience includes launching and leading large scale public sector academic programs, under EdoBEST and EKOEXCEL.
She led the training of over 14,000 educators and school leaders for these programmes. In 2019, she headed the team that conducted pre-pilot studies in Rwanda as part of NewGlobe’s expansion into the country; which took off in 2021. Rhoda is the Vice President of Professional Association of Curriculum Theorists in Nigeria (PACTPiN). The Cofounder and President of The Learning Craft - an education organization focused on supporting the public and private sector in achieving inclusive and equitable whole school education systems; towards nation building. She is a Learning Strategist and Curriculum Theorist.
An advocate for inclusive school systems that build an ecosystem rooted in the science of learning, a culture of care and relationships for meaningful learning experiences. She has special interests in Digital Literacy, Social, Emotional and Academic Learning (SEAL) and Green Education. She currently serves as the Head of Africa Programs at Kizazi. Kizazi is a global education non-profit that supports the development of breakthrough school models across the world.

Ms. Damilola-Elizabeth Akinyele is an International Training, Development, and Education Professional driven by quality education, social impact, inclusive and equitable projects, design, and innovation. She has spent her career cultivating strong leaders, strengthening institutions, and developing high-impact programs in Africa, the United States of America, the Middle East, and Asia. Damilola's professional experience spans over the course of 11 years, and her donor experiences include the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassies, state and local governments in Nigeria, West Africa.
Damilola is Executive Director at Princeton in Africa, a nonprofit affiliate of Princeton University founded in 1999. Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey, founded in 1746. Princeton in Africa matches talented and passionate college graduates or young professionals with high-impact organizations working across Africa for year-long service placements. Damilola's role includes maintaining the preeminent fellowship program that aligns with the core values of ethical and responsible engagement on the African continent, Management of Princeton in Africa Staff, Financial Oversight, Donor Relations, Education, Development and Communications, and Board Governance.
In recent years, Damilola managed an international faith-based nonprofit where she co-developed leadership structures, developed education and inclusion practices, and organized sustainable community engagement and fundraising initiatives. Damilola also spent a significant part of her career at World Learning, a global nonprofit in Washington, D.C. She held different roles at the organization through the years, all of which can be summarized as designing and implementing youth, leadership, education, exchange, and developmental programs funded by the U.S. Department of State. She managed a special envoys program that covered 160+ countries, designed and implemented educational learning experiences for Iraqi Young Leaders on peacebuilding and reconciliation, youth activism and civic engagement, reintegrating refugees and IDPs, and managed continued professional development for a network of 2,000+ alums. During Damilola's career at World Learning Washington D.C., she co-chaired and pioneered the Diversity, Equity, and inclusion Taskforce, which managed the vision, strategy, and execution of the organization's DEI efforts.
In the past, Damilola held several roles at IREX, an international, nonprofit organization specializing in global education and development, DLA Piper, a multinational law firm with offices in more than 40 countries, and Morgan State University, a public historically black research university in Baltimore, Maryland. At Irex, Washington DC, Damilola designed relevant, context-specific, research-based toolkits on gender and technology to train teachers from 13 countries. At DLA Piper, Damilola managed administration for top lawyers in the United States. At MSU, Damilola facilitated adult learning for college students and provided research and administrative support to a sociology professor for published research.
Damilola is a Co-founder of ETRAssociatesNG, a training, and consultancy firm dedicated to providing quality education and training grounded in research to strengthen the abilities, skills, and competencies of individuals, organizations, leaders, and societies. In 2016-2017, Damilola consulted with the Ministry of Education in Ondo state, hosted youth leadership and teacher training workshops, and developed an active learning strategies curriculum for Ondo state teachers.
Damilola received her B.A. in Sociology from Morgan State University and her M.A. in International Training and Education at American University, Washington, DC.
Over the course of her life and work, Damilola hopes to contribute to building Education systems and furthering the development of African institutions and leadership. She enjoys family vacations, politics, reading, traveling, theater, canoeing, and coffee. Damilola resides in Princeton, NJ.
