It is an evident fact that Education fosters and enhances work and life skills and it is tailored towards social, cultural and moral development of any nation. It also has the sole purpose of training an individual to meet the needs of the society and find an enchanting way to boost the national development in the best possible ways. This in no small measure accounts for the different policies put in place which had led to the success stories recorded so far in Education Sector in Lagos State. In the bid to continually review educational policies in order to conform with contemporary practice, the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, borne out of her visionary leadership attributes, resuscitated 2022 Lagos State Education Summit after the 3rd edition which held in Year 2013.

In view of the foregoing, it becomes an imperative to highlight some of the Objectives of 2022 Lagos State Education Summit in the bid to justify it’s importance:
i. To reminiscence on the National Policy on Education as it affects educational development in Lagos State;
ii. To x-ray the State and present administration´s various educational Policies and interventions in the Primary, Post-primary, Tertiary education and others;
iii. To examine the full integration of Comprehensive Schools into our Educational System in order to strengthen Vocational Education;
iv. To further cement the relationship between School Management and Learners with emphasis on Pedagogical and Social Development of the latter;
v. To reiterate the fact that 21st Century Teaching and Learning must be Student Centered.
vi. To co-create and reposition education as a key driver of skills and human resource much needed for economic growth and industrialization
